Peek into the past
YORKSHIRE parish records dating back to 1538 have been made publicly available online for the first time.
The Yorkshire Collection available on FindMyPast.co.uk includes hundreds of thousands of handwritten documents that have been digitally scanned and uploaded, among them the marriage documents of poet William Wordsworth, wed at Brompton Church in Scarborough in 1802.
