HIS aim was to run, swim and cycle 6,000 miles, now Phil Wiggins is just 100 miles short of a target which has seen him raise more than £7,200 for The Alzheimer’s Society.
Originally, Phil planned to cover 4,000 miles and raise £4,000 for the Alzheimer’s Society to mark his 40th year, but when he passed that target three months ahead of schedule, Wiggo vowed to keep going.
Sunday’s Yorkshire Marathon will be his final race and it will end a remarkable year for a man who at first wondered whether he could meet his target. Phil, we salute you.
