IT’S often said children don’t play enough, but what about those who, although they want to get out and about, find it difficult because they are classified as having special needs?
Fortunately, in York, they have Snappy to help out. The charity specialises in activities and play facilities for youngsters who need a helping hand because they have issues ranging from dyslexia to autism.
It all costs money, though, and people like David Brown do their bit by tirelessly raising funds. Mr Brown also organises an annual black-tie dinner and with this being Snappy’s 30th anniversary year, he has secured some amazing prizes which he hopes will make even more people put their hands in their pockets.
Let’s hope it does and that Snappy has a very happy birthday.
