Talking of getting around York, the city’s street signs are to be overhauled so they’re easier for people with dementia to understand.
That’s a great idea in principle. As we live longer more of us will suffer from the condition.
But it mustn’t cost too much – some will be concerned that the council has appointed yet more consultants – and it mustn’t lead to more street clutter. That would defeat the purpose.
