ISABEL Collier referred to Eckersley House as her hospital home.
In fact she still does and with good reason. The facility in Leeds is where her baby sister Emily pulled through, despite a prognosis to the contrary, and where the family was able to stay with her.
Six months on, the girls’ parents, Sarah and Pete, have just celebrated Emily’s christening by asking that, instead of gifts, donations be made to Eckersley House, as a way of saying thank you. We think Emily will be proud of that when she is a bit older.
