Claudia mum believes her daughter is "still alive"

THE mother of missing York chef Claudia Lawrence says her instincts have told her that her daughter is still alive.

Speaking as the second anniversary of the last sighting of Claudia approaches, Joan Lawrence said she also believed there had been a “lot of mistakes” surrounding claims about her daughter’s private life and relationships.

Interviewed by Lorraine Kelly on ITV morning show Daybreak, Mrs Lawrence revealed she had been in touch with another mother whose daughter was murdered and who told her she immediately knew what had happened.

“I can’t feel any other instinct than that she’s alive,” she said.

“I feel that, as a mum, I would feel that I would know something.”
