PLANS to display a giant picture of missing York chef Claudia Lawrence at Kings Cross station in London hit a snag when the electronic screen involved suffered technical problems.
But the picture of 35-year-old Claudia will become part of the rolling advertising and news bulletins displayed above the London terminus’ concourse as soon as technicians get the screen working.
Nine months after Claudia was last seen near her Heworth home on March 18, her father Peter Lawrence spoke of the difficulty of facing Christmas without her.
She had always spent the festive season with her family.
Mr Lawrence said: “This year is going to be extremely difficult.
“It will be the first Christmas in 35 years without Claudia. There is a big hole in our lives.”
Posters were put up and Mr Lawrence handed out leaflets in a bid to jog passengers’ memories as they gathered on a busy day for travelling.
The image will appear on similar screens at another 16 rail stations around the UK over Christmas and New Year, Mr Lawrence said.
