PETER Lawrence, the father of missing York chef Claudia Lawrence, will take his quest to find her to several railway stations next week in the run-up to Christmas.
With support from train operator First TransPennine Express, Mr Lawrence will be seeking to raise awareness of Claudia’s disappearance among rail passengers.
Posters will be appearing at several stations, including Stalybridge and Huddersfield, helping to spread the word across the north about Claudia, of Heworth, York, who went missing in March.
Martin Dales, Mr Lawrence’s friend and spokesman, praised the railway company’s help.
“It is really helpful to be able to get the Claudia missing message to as wide an audience as possible as someone somewhere knows something about her disappearance,” he said.
This is not the first time Mr Lawrence has enlisted the help of rail passengers to help find his missing daughter.
Earlier this month The Press reported that passengers were urged to join the search for Claudia, as Mr Lawrence handed out leaflets at Leeds railway station.
Mr Lawrence, also unveiled a giant, big-screen version of the Where Are You? poster which has been used to appeal for help to find his daughter for almost nine months.
Claudia, 35, was last seen on March 18 and police are treating her disappearance as suspected murder.
Mr Lawrence said he knew people were still contacting the police and said he hoped the new railway station big-screen campaign would convince people that even a small piece of apparently insignificant information could be crucial.
At that time Mr Lawrence said he hoped it will become a nationwide campaign across some of the major stations in the UK.
Last Wednesday, Mr Lawrence joined more than 100 people who attended The Press’s carol service in St Denys’s Church, Walmgate, held to offer comfort to those who will be separated from their loved ones during the festive season.
