Costcutter’s praise for vital suppliers

A YORK based company has recognised and rewarded its top suppliers for 2011 at an annual awards ceremony held at The Majestic Hotel in Harrogate.

Costcutter Supermarkets Group, who has its head office in York, invited hundreds of suppliers and employees from across the country to the ceremony which formally recognised suppliers who have supported Costcutter over the past year, including another Yorkshire- based company.

Arla Foods Limited, based in Leeds, was awarded Chilled And Frozen Supplier Of The Year at the event.

Their success was hailed by Angela Barber, Costcutter’s trading director, who said their support was crucial to Costcutter’s business.

She said: “I would like to congratulate all of our winners who have demonstrated their commitment to helping Costcutter drive increased sales for its retailers.

“Our suppliers provide Costcutter and its retailers with immense support and expertise to enable us to create fantastic promotions for our customers.”
