The Bengal Brasserie opens new outlet in Wetherby

INDIAN restaurant chain The Bengal Brasserie has opened a new outlet in Wetherby, creating up to 20 new jobs.

The 100-seat restaurant in Victoria Court brings the total of the York-based brand’s retaurants to four, including Goodramgate and Nether Poppleton, York, and one in Headingley, Leeds.

The new restaurant will serve the Bengal Brasserie’s signature Bangladeshi dishes, developed by head chef Mohan Miah.

The brand has also received a boost by being featured on the new Sharwoods television advertisement.

Sharwood chefs are shown travelling the country to find out what makes the great British curry, and are seen learning from chefs at the Bengal Brasserie in Goodramgate.
