A KNARESBOROUGH-BASED commercial refurbishment firm has lent its backing to Harrogate Town AFC for the club’s 2012/13 season.
Alex Adamson, managing director of AA Office Services, said the new partnership meant he could forge close links with the Blue Square Bet North league team, while raising his business’s profile through sponsoring team manager, Simon Weaver.
Mr Adamson, 33, a Harrogate Town supporter, said: “I watched the club’s recent 4-3 victory against Bishop’s Stortford and the team is really on form after a difficult spell. They’re always exciting to watch so I’m delighted to be involved.”
He said the deal was also about supporting the club’s community work.
“Harrogate Town has a fantastic supply of young footballing talent who they help develop through expert coaching and youth schemes and they regularly work with local primary schoolchildren and other sectors of the community,” he said.
“I was particularly inspired to hear about how manager Simon Weaver recently helped train a team of adults receiving treatment and rehabilitation for addiction at the end of last year as they prepared to enter a tournament in Rochdale.”
The club hopes to attract further sponsors to support its community work. For more details visit harrogatetownafc.com/club/commercial
