Expansion into Ripon for estate agents

LINLEY & Simpson has acquired two estate agents, enabling it to expand into Ripon for the first time.

The agency has taken over Lets-Move.net as well as the lettings arm of Davis estate agents in a double deal agreed this week for an undisclosed sum.

Staff from both these companies will be retained to ensure continuity, with the venture operating out of the latter’s former offices at North Street in the historic Spa town.

Will Linley, director, said: “We have served the Ripon area for many years through our Harrogate office and the opening of a new branch there is a natural progression for us. It fulfils the wishes of our clients and will enable us to meet rising demand.

“We are well positioned to harness the potential and popularity of this part of North Yorkshire, including places such as Thirsk, Masham and Boroughbridge.”

The opening completes an important “triangle” with its offices in Harrogate and Wetherby, which remains one of the county’s most sought-after areas in which to live and work.
