MORE than 30 people attended the inaugural York St John Business School Leaders Club dinner on Thursday at the York Marriott.
The Leaders Club, which runs in several cities across the UK, has been brought to Yorkshire by York St John Business School.
Through The Leaders Club, York St John Business School aims to provide a support network of directors, managers and business leaders in the Yorkshire area, and plans to run a series of quarterly events featuring high profile hosts from the business world to complement the existing business school events programme.
Last Thursday’s debate, Ethics in Business – a contradiction in terms? was hosted by former Northern Rock and Carphone Warehouse director, Richard Smelt.
Also on the panel were Stephen Fletcher, founder and chairman of The Leaders Club, Prof Bob Garvey, from York St John Business School, the Right Reverend Martin Wallace, Bishop of Selby, Dominic Mellonie of 2020mobile and Giles Cuthbert of the Chartered Banker Institute.
