Special Achievement Award former business editor Ron Godfrey

FORMER business editor of The Press Ron Godfrey, who set up The Press Business Awards 21 years ago, was also recognised at last night’s ceremony.

Ron retired in August after many years of service to the York business community. He received a Special Achievement In Business Award.

David Dickson, chairman of accountants Garbutt & Elliott, a contact and friend of Ron, presented him with the award, and congratulated him on more than 20 years’ service, reporting on the York business community.
