MUDD & Co, the York chartered surveyors practice, is celebrating its 25th anniversary tomorrow.
The firm is still in Peckitt Street where Tim Mudd first put up his nameplate on March 1, 1986, previously as TJ Mudd & Co chartered surveyors and land and estate agents.
In 1987 the firm formally associated with Ralph Appleton and Hall (now Appletons) in Stockton-on-Tees and the following year linked up with a practice in Bedale, where it established a sub-office.
An invitation-only gathering of clients and business friends takes place tonight at the Bedern Hall, York.
Mr Mudd, still the sole principal, said: ”It is a significant milestone in my life and the firm’s – an opportunity to take stock and to heartily thank all our loyal clients.
“My grandfather, a lawyer, worked until he was in his early 80s so if I am made of the same stuff I’ll easily clock up another 25 years!
“This is the second recession which we have survived and and we look set fair to continue our success.”
