A SOFTWARE company in York whose product has helped people struggling with debt, has won a major award.
Sawfish Software, of Middlethorpe Business Park, Bishopthorpe, has won a Credit Today Award last night for Debtflow, personal insolvency software created CCCSVA, a subsidiary company of Leeds-based debt charity the Consumer Credit Counselling Service which provides Individual Voluntary Arrangements (IVAs).
The award was in the Third-party Solutions category at an event hosted by comedian Bill Bailey at London’s Dorchester Hotel.
CCCSVA credits DebtFlow for allowing it to enhance the help and support it provides to struggling debtors by streamlining IVA processes through automating documents, calculations and cash transactions.
Steve Nicholson, chief executive of CCCSVA, said that the software had played an important part in ensuring it met the growing needs of debtors who were embarking on IVAs.
Steve Hull, chief executive of Sawfish Software, said his organisation was honoured that it was able to provide the technology that could help so many people.
He said: “We are delighted to be associated with CCCSVA and to be able to add value to its work by helping it streamline its operations.”
