NEWS of a partnering between two Yorkshire food companies is hot stuff.
Knaresborough-based Robinsons Pork Butchers has partnered with The Chilli Jam Man to create The Chilli Jam Pork Pie, containing the world’s three hottest chillies.
Mick Robinson, owner of Robinsons Pork Butchers met Simon Barrett, aka The Chilli Jam Man, while exhibiting with deliciouslyorkshire, the regional food group’s campaigning brand forr Yorkshire and Humber.
Mr Barrett said: “The 3 Peaks jam, inspired by the Yorkshire 3 Peaks, is not for the faint-hearted. It works perfectly combined with a pork pie, which has been a big hit with locals and visitors to Robinsons Pork Butchers.
“I am looking into developing partnerships with other regional producers, to turn the heat up on a range of foods.”
The pork pies are available from Robinsons Pork Butchers, Knaresborough and will be sold at forthcoming events under the deliciouslyorkshire branding including the Harrogate Spring Flower Show, with a recommended retail price of £2.
A range of Chilli Jam Man jams can be found at farmshops and retail outlets across Yorkshire or by visiting thechillijamman.com
