CYCLE Street, a new cycling business will open in Heworth Village, Heworth, next month.

Jon Dean, of York, has received help from “a committed group of friends” to open the new venture on a site which was a former kitchen showroom, but has been vacant for eight months.

The new firm will become a cycle sales, service and repair centre.

Jon said: “Local people have already voiced their support for the venture, offering positive comments on seeing the store take shape.”

Cycle Street will stock top cycle brands such as Cannondale, GT and Dawes, as well as good quality used bikes, and a range of accessories, clothing and parts.
