A travelling "super-library" is dispensing literature and good advice to would-be rural entrepreneurs.
The scheme offers direct access to information on a range of subjects, from finance to recruitment and finding suitable premises.
Apart from dispensing literature helping venturers start stably in those crucial early months, the super-library offers guidance from a member of the library staff.
It will be in Upper Market Place, Kirkbymoorside, between 5.30pm and 7.30 pm every Monday.
Mike Shannon, of Business Link York and North Yorkshire, said: "The service is there to help people in rural locations access business advice without having to travel miles to do so."
For further information on Business Link's start-up services, phone the Business Link Information Centre team on 01904 686000.
