Chamber comment

At our recent forum we invited members to discuss procurement policy and it was obvious that this is an extremely important issue.

Tendering can be a complex and lengthy process, and many businesses find that new opportunities aren’t promoted well enough by both the public and private sector, and that they simply don’t have the time to search through various websites for upcoming opportunities.

To simplify the process, the chamber gives all of its members access to its business opportunities service, an online portal which combines a members only directory and a tender alerts service, instantly notifying businesses of the latest private and public-sector procurement opportunities either by email or SMS – ensuring that you are one of the first in the know.

Already this year we have posed close to 100 tenders, giving our members the opportunity to bid for contracts they may have otherwise been unaware of, and as the service is now part of the ‘ultimate business network’, it now means that you will receive tender alerts from businesses and public sector organisations from across the whole country and potentially broadening your business horizon.

The service is continuing to grow and we are seeing an increasing number of members posting their own opportunities, appreciating the value of working with other chamber members.
