PROFESSIONAL motivational speaker Clive Gott is taking on a new challenge in his bid to be named Business Personality Of The Year.
Having previously worked as a butcher, a welder, a firefighter and a railway conductor, Mr Gott became a motivational speaker and trainer in 1999.
Having personally battled with obesity, depression and divorce, Mr Gott draws on a multitude of life experiences when giving talks.
He said: “Everything that I have experienced has allowed me to grow a successful business. I am proud of the fact that I speak from the heart.”
Mr Gott, a self-dubbed “enter-trainer”, has worked with a host of major organisations, such as Lloyds, Marks & Spencer, BUPA and The England Rugby League Academy, as well as with schools and communities. His passion is to inspire the people around them, his ethos being that “people should grab life by the throat and say ‘I’m not done yet’ ”.
On top of his business achievements, Mr Gott has completed the Marathon des Sables, climbed both Mount Aconcagua and Mount Kilimanjaro, completed five Ironman triathlons and published three books – proof he practises what he preaches.
