Best Sustainable Travel Initiative criteria


Open to all businesses in the region which can demonstrate a high proportion of their workforce that travel to work and meetings by sustainable means, ie. not using the single occupied private car.


Submissions may include -

* Their travel plan targets, namely percentage of the staff that they want to see come into work other than the single occupied private car

* Efforts to encourage people to walk or cycle into work and to meetings

* Car share schemes to work and to meetings

* Bus or train use to work and to meetings

* Possible use of video conferencing

* The number of staff on salary sacrifice (tax exempt) schemes for bus passes and cycles
