I came to York in 1993 and, like lots of people, liked it that much I stayed. Getting a balance between new and interesting developments and keeping York special for future generations was what
really hooked me. I was elected by the good people of Fishergate as a Green Party Councillor in 2007.

Tribute to fallen soldier

My next-door neighbour Jack Harland died peacefully in hospital on 4th September aged 83. He was an amazing character, hugely admired by his neighbours and, really, anyone with whom he came into contact.
