I came to York in 1993 and, like lots of people, liked it that much I stayed. Getting a balance between new and interesting developments and keeping York special for future generations was what
really hooked me. I was elected by the good people of Fishergate as a Green Party Councillor in 2007.

Moving fire station risks letting York city centre burn

As Heritage Champion I've urged the fire brigade chiefs not to abandon the station on Clifford Street and move fire engines away from the city centre. This will only put York's heritage at risk.

Fulford Cross Nature Reserve joins UK record attempt

Residents of Fishergate and volunteers from the University of York got together as part of National Tree Week to make an attempt on the national record to plant the largest number of trees in one hour.
