In my day job I work at York St John University . The University is a fantastic employer and I want to bring to your attention an event I have been helping to organise.
In the evenings of Friday 26th Oct until Sat 3rd Nov, the City of York will be lit up in a festival of light known as illuminating York . Gillygate will be lit up with contemporary art installations
by York St John University in an event called Lux. The art installations are fantastic and are FREE to view. All are welcome.
This Saturday there will also be some FREE performances. Strong Hours Place, a performance installation piece, in 2 Blake Street at 7pm and Found Sound, a light projection piece, in Miller's Yard
from 5-8pm.
It is fantastic to have a University working with the community and contributing to the arts and culture of this great city. I am proud to work for this institution.
