So Batchelor admits “asset stripping” York City FC does he? If true I find it amazing that someone can admit that he took money out of a struggling football club and then expect anyone to allow him to be involved with another football club. Does he really believe that his massive betrayal of public trust can be followed by other betrayals?

So far the answer has been, we know what you did and we know what you are, we don’t want anything to do with you.

I must say I feel York City FC have been very lucky to find the McGills, who have saved the club from extinction. It hasn’t been easy but nobody can doubt their commitment and their public spirit. Not flashy, not always in the public eye, but working hard along with the rest of the team, to do their best. As far as I know they don’t have a racing car between them!

Can't wait for the new season and a new set of hopes and dreams. Come on City!
