There should be a booklet about driving in snow, slush and ice.
Title "DO NOT CREATE HOLES AND SKIDS!"
1. More speed on the drive wheels does not grip snow, slush and ice. THE WHEELS RACE ROUND CREATING HOLES, OR THEY WILL TAKE YOU INTO A SKID.
2. Use minimum pressure on the accelerator to get you moving. Keep your speed between 10 and 20 in built up areas according to the surface and keep your distance.
3. If you stop, go back slowly a couple of feet. Start again at minimum speed and just keep going at that speed until you are over that spot.
4. It doesn't matter how fast or big your car is. SPEED GETS YOU NOWHERE ON SNOW, SLUSH AND ICE.
