Had a daily treat of the best crab sandwiches ever...

Just got back from a coach trip to Oban, Scotland, and really enjoyed it. Good hotel, marvelous trips to Campbeltown, Rothsay and a ferry trip to Mull. Had a daily treat of the best crab sandwiches ever and bought 2 haggis, male and female, to bring back with us. One for our next door nieghbours, Dave and Ruth, and one for ourselves. They brought us one a few weeks ago and we loved it. There was too much for us to finish in one meal, so Sylvia mixed an egg, mashed potato and herbs with what was left and made rissoles. They were out of this world.

The other people on the coach were a grand lot with good humour. Lots of laughs, entertainment after dinner, which was served by pleasant young ladies from all corners of the earth. The weather was generally good with misty mornings, soon clearing and replaced by blue skies and sun. The only minor fault were the long journeys up and down, but they were punctuated by regular stops for snacks and other necessities. We were very pleasantly surprised by how forward everything was up there, courtesy the Gulf Stream. Camellias in full bloom.

Back home, we had two blooms on our camellias but everything is coming along well and we will soon be getting busy in there. A really nice break at a good time of the year.
