Hundreds attend wedding exhibition

THE cream of the region’s wedding industry was at York Racecourse as hundreds of happy couples turned up for the Yorkshire Living Brides Wedding Exhibition.
Yesterday’s event, organised by The Press, featured dozens of stalls offering everything from photographers, cakes and flowers to a display of vintage wedding cars.
The day also featured two catwalk shows featuring the best in bridal and wedding outfits.
Speaking during the event, co-organiser of the fair, Alison Spaven said: “We have had about 550 people through the door so far. We have had a lot of people from Ryedale and others have come from as far away as Wakefield and Chester-le-Street.
“Despite the current economic climate, couples are continuing to commit to each other and pronounce their wedding vows.”
