Tenants urged to join homes panel

TENANTS are being urged to help forge the future of a York-based housing provider.

The York Housing Association, which operates more than 750 properties mostly in the York area, is looking to recruit a panel of tenants to join a new Tenants In Action initiative.

Tenants can find out exactly what is being proposed and how they can join in when the association holds a special event between 5.30pm and 7.30pm on Wednesday at the Royal York Hotel.

Julia Histon, the association’s chief executive, said: “We want tenants to work with us to develop and improve our services and to make sure our customers are the heart of everything we do. Tenants In Action will have a strong voice and will help us to ensure that we are fully accountable to our customers and stakeholders.

“Customers’ concerns and priorities are at the heart of the way we carry out our business, and our performance should reflect what customers want now and in the future.”
