X Factor finalist Marcus Collins to appear at York fireworks display

X Factor finalist Marcus Collins is to appear at the Kaboom fireworks display in York next month.

The soul singer will take centre-stage at the event at Rawcliffe Country Park, on Sunday, November 4.

Collins said: “I’m so looking forward to performing at Kaboom and what looks to be a fantastic night in York. I loved bonfire night as a kid, and so being part this spectacular show will be brilliant fun.”

Organiser Mark Brayshaw, of Rockin’ Horse Promotions, said: “We are thrilled that Marcus Collins will be performing for us. He is sure to light up the stage with his performance and will definitely get a very warm welcome from his fans."

Since his appearance on the X factor, under the tutelage of Gary Barlow, the soulful singer-songwriter star has performed at Wembley, the Royal Albert Hall in front of royalty, released his debut album, the self titled Marcus Collins, which went straight into the top 10 of the UK album chart earlier this year, and celebrated his first top 10 UK single.

Kaboom takes place from 4pm to 10pm.
