York riverside business complex plan pulled

PLANS to create a “world-class” riverside business complex in York have been withdrawn to allow changes to be made to its design.
HHB Investments (York) Ltd bought the Parkside Commercial Centre in Terry Avenue from City of York Council after it was put on the market in 2010, and unveiled its proposals for turning buildings which were originally warehouses for the Terry’s chocolate factory into a four-storey business centre over the summer.
Agents acting for the firm said the proposals had been temporarily withdrawn, but they will be resubmitted to the council once any changes to the design of the development have been made and this may happen within the next few weeks.
HHB has said the scheme would provide the type of modern office accommodation not currently available in York and a public consultation on the plans had received positive feedback.
