Councillors to be put under the spotlight at Question Time-style event

COUNCILLORS will be put under the spotlight at a Question Time-style event in York tonight as part of the city’s role in Local Democracy Week.

The session will be held at Heslington Hall, at the University of York, at 6.30pm, and will be chaired by the university’s pro-vice chancellor for business and community, Colin Mellors.

It will include a panel of three councillors and student ambassadors answering pre-registered questions and those posed by the audience.

The event is one of a string of York initiatives which are highlighting and showcasing local democracy.
