Police seek help to trace family of dead East Yorkshire man
4:22pm Tuesday 16th October 2012 in News
THE death of a Bridlington man has prompted an appeal from police to help trace his next of kin.
According to officers, Alan Simpson, 47, was found at a property in Rope Walk on Sunday, September 30.
Attempts by Humberside Police to trace his family have so far proved unsuccessful and help is now wanted from the public.
Mr Simpson is believed to be from the St Combs/Fraserburgh/Inverollechy area of Scotland and according to police may have a mother and sister there.
The sister is called Margaret Stone and is believed to be approximately 50 years old. However Mr Simpson is not believed to have seen his relatives in more than 20 years.
Anyone with information asked to contact Humberside Police on the non emergency number 101 referring to log number 444 of 30 September or HM Coroner for Hull and East Riding on 01482 613009.
