York dentist Kris Lees, who has been nominated for a national award
A DENTIST in York is hoping for an early Christmas present at a prestigious national awards ceremony.
Kris Lees, 30, the principal dentist at Thorpe Dental Group, has made it to the final four in the Young Dentist category at this year’s Dentistry Awards.
The winner will be announced on December 7. Mr Lees joined Woodthorpe Dental Centre after graduating in 2005. He later took ownership of the centre and went on to take over a practice in Bishopthorpe in 2008. In 2010 he took on a third surgery in Copmanthorpe.
He said: “At present, over the three sites there are seven self-employed dentists and one vocational trainee dentist, one practice manager, three dental hygienists, two receptionists, eleven dental nurses; and one cleaner.”
