Two men arrested following Easingwold murder

POLICE have arrested two men following the murder of a man in Easingwold.

The 21 and 23-year-old men were arrested on Friday, October 12, as part of an ongoing investigation into the death of Mohammed Saleem Khan.

A North Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said the men had been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery, and had been released on bail while the investigation continues.

Mohammed Saleem Khan was found by an off-duty police officer slumped behind the wheel of his van in the early hours of Sunday, September 23. Mr Khan, 37, of Luton, Beds, had been delivering shower parts when he was attacked, and was later found to have died from a stab wound to the neck.

James Brabbs, 26, of no fixed address, has appeared in court charged with Mr Khan’s murder, and was remanded in custody to reappear at Teesside Crown Court for a plea and directions hearing on December 17.
