Another sexual offence by Jimmy Savile reported to North Yorkshire Police

NORTH Yorkshire Police say they have received another report of an historic sexual offence by Sir Jimmy Savile.

A force spokesman said the offence, involving a teenage girl from the Durham area, was alleged to have occurred in Scarborough in the late 1960s.

This is the second such report the force has received since allegations about sexual misconduct by the late TV presenter were made in a TV documentary last week.

The other offence, reported to the force earlier this week, involved a young girl in Scarborough in the late 1980s.
