Paramedics called to York gym

PARAMEDICS were called to the David Lloyd gym in Hull Road, York, after a man became unwell in the indoor pool area. The man is understood to have lost consciousness and was treated for an injury to his head yesterday morning.
A spokesman for the gym said: “The club immediately implemented its emergency procedures and fully qualified first aiders tended to the man until paramedics arrived.
“David Lloyd Leisure takes the health and safety of its members and guests extremely seriously and the incident is being investigated by the club. We would like to take this opportunity to wish the gentleman a speedy recovery.”
