Alert to A19 motorists over gas repairs

MOTORISTS using the A19 north of York are being advised to add a few minutes to their journey times while engineers carry out essential gas repairs.

Engineers from Northern Gas Networks are carrying out repairs to a gas main on the A19 in York, between Skelton and the A1237.

The work means temporary two-way traffic lights are expected to be in place for an estimated two days, while repairs are completed along a 50-metre stretch of the inbound carriageway.

Typical of traffic problem information from Press, Radio York, etc if your travelling on routes north of outer ringroad.
