LAST month’s flooding saw the first time Safer York Partnership’s office in Lower Friargate, York, was closed since 2000, to allow staff and police to clear up the damage.
The partnership has been based in Lower Friargate since 2003, with the police safer neighbourhood team for the city centre.
Jane Mowat, of City of York Council, said: “While the flooding has caused a temporary accommodation issue for the partnership staff, it is very much business as usual.
“It may take a little longer for us to respond to messages, but our email and telephone are checked daily and we will answer queries as soon as possible.”
Crime prevention advice is available on the website saferyork.org.uk and the partnership can be phoned on 01904 669069 or by email at safercommunities@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk
