Road blocked after three-car crash leaves two in hospital

A COUNTRY road in North Yorkshire has been blocked after a three-car crash this morning.
The collision, involving a Volkswagen Passat, a Toyota Aygo and a Fiat Scudo, happened at 8.20am on the A162 at Towton, near Tadcaster.
Police are currently at the scene and the damaged vehicles are being removed from the road, which North Yorkshire Police said had been completely blocked, leading to queues of traffic stretching back as far as a mile.
Paramedics have also been called in and two people have been taken to hospital, although their injuries are not serious. Anybody who saw the crash should phone pollice on 101.
