TWO people have been injured and a dog has been killed in a motorbike crash in East Yorkshire.
The Rottweiler dog was on the A1079 near the Wellington Oak pub near Pocklington, when it was hit by an orange Triumph Tiger motorbike at about 10.30pm on Thursday.
The motorcyclist, a 50-year-old man from York, braked but could not avoid the dog. The man sustained minor injuries but his pillion passenger, a 49-year-old woman from York, was badly hurt. She remains in a serious but stable condition in Hull Royal Infirmary, with serious injuries to her arm, pelvis and back.
The motorbike was heading towards York when the crash occurred. Witnesses are asked to phone Humberside Police on 101, quoting log number 773 of October 4.
