Three injured in North Yorks crash

THREE people were cut out of a car and taken to hospital following a two-vehicle smash in Tadcaster .
The crash happened shortly after 12pm today on the A162 at Tadcaster, near the Tadcaster bridge.
The male driver of one car suffered internal bleeding and was treated at the scene by paramedics.
Fire-fighters used hydraulic cutting equipment to rescue two men and a woman from the second car.
They used the cutting equipment to remove the roof of the vehicle.
The elderly male driver suffered cuts, bruises and internal bleeding. The female passenger suffered a dislocated arm and broken femur and the male backseat passenger suffered cuts and brusies and internal bleeding.
All were taken by ambulance to hospital.
