Rowntree Park sex attack probe continues

THE investigation into a serious sex attack on a young girl in a York park is continuing, say police.
No charges have been brought, but police said yesterday that three teenagers remain on bail after being arrested shortly after the attack, which happened on Sunday afternoon in Rowntree Park, when the area was full of people. The victim is understood to be under 16-years-old.
On Monday, the park was closed to visitors as police scoured the area for evidence.
Despite officers now leaving the area, the area remained closed yesterday due to a risk from flooding following 24 hours of heavy rain.
