Two arrested in York drugs swoop

POLICE have arrested two people and seized about £1,000 in cash during a drugs raid on a York property.
Officers executed a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act at a property in Rawdon Avenue, off Melrosegate, yesterday afternoon.
“Two people were arrested and are currently in police custody,” a North Yorkshire police spokeswoman said.
“Officers seized a small quantity of drugs and approximately £1,000 in cash.”
A local resident told The Press that two police vans and a number of officers had been seen in the area.
