Noise patrols in York will be stepped up

A CRACKDOWN on noise problems in York is to be increased this autumn.

Additional funding from Safer York Partnership has allowed City of York Council to beef up its noise patrols at the start of the new academic year and around Hallowe’en and Bonfire Night.

The extra patrols will begin operating during Freshers Week, which marks the return of students to the city’s two universities.

They have already been on duty for the start of the new academic year at York St John University this week and will do the same from 10pm to 1am between October 8 and 11, when University of York students arrive back.

The council also plans patrols along similar lines and times during the Hallowe’en and Bonfire Night.

Its not seasonal party poopers we want for one offs but proper noise patrols all year round to investigate and stop the noise makers who destroy and make the lives of nieghbours life hell!with music blasting every night antisocial behavior and total disregard for hard working family people who need rest after a hard days work, and who have children who need to sleep, and elderly residents who just want peace and quiet.

Are they going to deal with the buskers in town who get their tourist audiences to SCREEAMM!!!!!! every five seconds, as a tactic of getting more goons to watch them do some **** juggling?

Are they going to deal with the Ghost Tours, who get their followers to SCREEAMMM!!!! outside residents houses, as a tactic of scaring and attracting more customers?

None of the above are from York either. This place is turning into a **** theme park.

What about the ambulances, police cars that give no thought whatsoever to the residents when many a time, they do not need to use their two tones?

Sometimes, I have seen them with them on with a clear road ahead of them! Deafening.

Thank God, I don't live on any of those roads.

Additional funding is being given to a Noise Patrol, what a load of total nonsense. The area from Monkbar towards the city has been just one complete gang of total idiots from York College/University, marching, shouting, screaming, having had their initial boost of special offer alcohol at the pub/s, then towards the City centre for the clubs. This is five nights out of seven, and the female gender is worse than the macho male rugby singing groups. Not a thing will be done, not a thing has been done reference previous complaints. Another example of a total waste of money and another box ticked.

Who is it that cannot organize such a cut and cover job?
Stack the cover plates, piping and place a work shack handy, for clothing tools etc, double check the under ground drawings for that street, close street for estimated three days.
Begin excavation at midnight, if the need be, cover what has been dug with plates(already on site).
What then is the problem?
