WOMEN marched from York to Leeds to highlight the plight of other women and children in conflict zones.
At York Minster, the wife of the Archbishop of York , Margaret Sentamu started the party from York Ebor Soroptimists on their 45-mile walk to the Royal Armouries via Tadcaster , Wetherby and Harewood.
The Walk Of Peace promoted the need for women victims of war to be given more say in finding peace solutions and aimed to raise awareness of the trauma caused to women and children by armed conflict.
