Students from York are taking their own school-grown produce to the York Food & Drink Festival.

Bootham School was a prime mover behind the York Edible Schools Project, with groups of pupils having grown their own salad and vegetables throughout the summer, some of which has been used in the school’s kitchen.

Teacher Harriet Ennis said: “Sustainability and environmental awareness is a key part of education and this is just one way in which we can put theory into practice.”

Good luck to the kids. But this is a very expensive private school. Nothing against it, lot of worthwhile and compassionate people went there. However you need to report this.
