A64 crash victim named

A PEDESTRIAN killed in a crash on the A64 north of York has been named as Johnnie David Horncastle.

The 65-year-old, from Goole, died following a collision with a Seat Ibiza at about 5am last Friday.

The incident occurred near the junction of Scotchman Lane at Claxton and the A64. Mr Horcastle was believed to have been walking in the centre of the road when he was struck by the car.

An inquest into his death was opened and adjourned yesterday.
