ZOMBIES are needed to go on the rampage at a York visitor attraction as it prepares for an October of spooky events in the run up to Hallowe’en.

York Maze says it needs to recruit a “legion of zombies” to work at its Hallowscream nights next month, however, it warns that any undead applying for the job need to be in good health.

Tom Pearcy, from York Maze, said: “It is surprising how physically demanding the job of a zombie can be. We have four different Hallowe’en attractions with thousands of visitors going through each night.

“Chasing visitors around for five hours a night and knowing how to scare people is not as easy as it seems.”
